The Opportunity
The Trade BDM will play a pivotal role in driving trade sales within their assigned region, with a strong focus on growing residential trade relationships within the A+D industry. This role involves collaborating with showroom teams, regional managers, and trade partners to ensure the successful promotion and sales of King Living products. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder, skilled at identifying business opportunities, fostering partnerships, and acting as a passionate ambassador for the King Trade program.
This role requires you to work Monday – Friday and is located in Melbourne, VICTORIA. Due to the nature of the position, a reliable vehicle is essential as the role involves significant travel. Additionally, occasional regional travel may be required to meet business needs.
The Role - Drive trade sales through showrooms by fostering relationships with new and existing trade clients.
- Partner with developers and complementary businesses to expand trade opportunities and promote King Living products.
- Conduct showroom tours and meetings to showcase King Living’s unique offerings.
- Organize training sessions to ensure showroom teams are confident in promoting the King Trade program.
- Collaborate with regional managers and marketing teams to implement trade initiatives and spotlight special projects.
- Attend industry networking events to enhance King Living’s brand visibility.
- Provide insights and feedback to leadership on trade-related opportunities and challenges.
- Support onboarding and engagement of new trade partners for a seamless integration into the King Trade program.
- Act as the primary point of contact and ambassador for King Trade within the region.
About You - Proven experience in trade sales or business development, preferably within the furniture, architectural materials, design or hospitality industry.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a passion for customer engagement.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities.
